Levin graduated from Emory University in 1968, and earned his degree in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972. He continued at the University of Pennsylvania, Endodontic Residency Program, and received a Certificate in Endodontics in 1974. Dr. Levin is in private practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a member of the College of Diplomates and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
At the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Levin is Chair of the Board of Overseers. He received Penn Dental Medicine's Alumni Award of Merit in 2000.
Dr. Levin serves as
an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Postgraduate Endodontics at Nova Southeastern
University, College
of Dental Medicine. At the University of Maryland Dental School he is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry. He is a contributor to the 8th and 9th Editions of Pathways of the Pulp and the 6th Edition of Endodontics. Dr. Levin has lectured nationally and internationally, written numerous peer-reviewed articles and serves as Director of EndoNet Consulting, LLC.
Dr. Levin is listed as a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice in Dentistry, is included in Consumer's Research Council of America's "Guide to America's Top Dentists," and Washingtonian Magazine's "Best Endodontists."
